Artificial Intelligence is advancing at a speed that is becoming impossible to ignore.

This week, a group of leading mathematicians — including many recipients of the Fields Medal, one of the highest honors in mathematics — raised an important warning about the growing influence of AI on mathematics, scientific research, and human intellectual work.

Their message deserves attention.

But it should not lead us only to fear Artificial Intelligence.

It should lead us to a much bigger question:
